Old-school beach resort. Pretty decent value for the money. Great for kids. They have boogie boards, sand toys, beach chairs and umbrellas right there on the beach -- check them out from their station. Viola -- no packing or carrying a lot of beach gear -- they do it for you. Also a ton of great dining options an easy walk from the hotel.
Have a time share here. Love it!!! Fantastic little 1 bedroom place with a kitchen and pull out bed in front room. It sleeps 4. The beach here is perfect if you are just learning to surf. The town has great shops. We always have a very relaxing stay here and I can brush up on my surfing skills for our next trip to Hawaii!!
Extremely happy with our stay!! Clean rooms, tons of amenities, ocean view. Beach is steps away. Great shopping, variety of places to eat. Literally the best vacation spot I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying!! There’s trees that drop stuff on your car and it’s a pain to clean, but who cares when you’re here..by the water in the friendly beautiful town of Carlsbad
The rooms are in need of a good remodel. The furnishings are cheap looking for the high price of an ocean front room. The hotel is in one of the best locations in Carlsbad . You can walk out of your room directly onto the beach from several rooms and it’s a very short walk to several nearby restaurants.
We had dinner during our vacation. Atmosphere was loud and the food mediocre. The food arrived in a timely fashion and was prepared okay. Prices were in line with other resort style restaurants in carlsbad. Our waiter was knowledgeable of the menu. He checked on us regularly and was courteous. I can only give 3 stars because of the overall experience was middle of the road at best. I should stick to more intimate restaurants because that style suits me. Others may like noise and a high pressure environment while they eat but I don't.
